USEFUL INFORMATION
Types of rope:
Sisal Information:
A hard natural fibre, manila is especially resistant to sunlight. Manila holds knots firmly and stretches very little. Chemicals will cause manila rope to deteriorate. They suit the demands of decking, shipping, construction and agriculture.
Because it is a natural fibre it will shrink when wet and lengthen when dry so be sure to make allowances for this when measuring and ordering. The diameter of the rope is also measured during manufacture whilst the rope is under tension so the finished product may have a slightly larger diameter than stated.
