Shock Cord

Shock cord or bungee rope as it is also known as can be used for a variety of tasks.  It's a common, everyday device, inexpensive and easy to use.  It is used everyday in businesses, homes and leisure activities.  Shock cords are made out of elastic material that have excellent stretch characteristics, the round shape and braided cover offer superb abrasion resistance.  They are used to tie down or secure equipment, ideal for use on edging trailer covers, act as barriers, hold items in place, restrain cargo and can be conveniently locked or fastened to another structure.  Metal J-shaped or S-shaped hooks can be attached to the ends thus making them versatile connectors that can be easily applied with one hand.
